I was just reminded of how much Trump is milking us taxpayers as well as big corporations and wealthy none taxpaying so-called Americans. This is a huge problem and to think some people have the nerve to believe people are homeless because they want to be. What a copout. These young people are innocent and clearly forgotten about. I’m glad we are doing this.

Well I hit the circuit with Josh, Ryan, and Aaron and we decided to also visit shelter that housed families. We found most of them were single mothers and it was really hard to pick one family. The staff told them we were there trying to understand what type of assistance the majority of the residence required and we were allowed to talk to most of them. We also noticed that there were some who had no interest in talking with us. We dressed like normal people but one of the men noticed Josh’s shoes  . It was hysterical and he was very funny. He made Josh blush because he started teasing him about giving our status away. Ryan told him not everyone picked up on it so he didn’t say much more. We selected him. He was a single father of three and he told us he knew when he woke up that morning the Lord was about to bless him.

Yes, we took a trip that I would never have dreamed I would take less than a year ago. I’d like to say grandpa donated a sizeable amount to our project, shocking dad, and making mom cry. So, we took a single father, and I’ll talk about the very young single mother of one we also selected. She is nineteen and her little boy is fathered by her foster care father. She was quiet and withdrawn but seemed to know we were there to help. She said she knew we were sent by God. She was homeless because her foster family threw her out when she refused to continue allowing the husband to take sexual advantage of her. I called dad and she was one of the families who left right away. She needs counseling and some of the extra support we will be assisting with. The stories we heard were heart-breaking and I’m glad we are doing what we are doing.

Hello Forum Friends and Family. I am so glad to be here and pop…your parents will attend the next meeting as they have decided they want to become a part of the Gnostic Family YAAAA!!!

I’ll tell you all about our third selection and I have to say this was the most significant thing I have ever done in my entire life and I’m looking forward to all of the really useful things we Gnostics will do in the future. I love the school, the curriculum, the structure I love it and I’m looking forward to working with some of you on a physical site.

Our third selection was arriving as we were leaving. She was fleeing an extremely abusive husband and her face bore the evidence of her situation. She had five young children and I heard the women in the administration office telling her they had limited resources and she had too many children. She was telling her they would have to divide them up and this mother looked crushed. We stopped and talked to her and she tearfully told us about her situation. It felt good to tell her to gather her things and her children and come with us.

Hi Bro :P :cheer: :cheer:

I like that we formed teams for this activity. I teamed up with Lydia, Beth, and Mary. We went to one of the food distribution facilities. They are run by churches mostly. They are overwhelmed trying to help all of those in need and welcome our assistance. We selected two males that were actually being somewhat pushed around by those who frequented the food distribution area. They were new coming from other states looking for an opportunity somewhere new. I’ll tell you from the looks of those we saw when we first arrived I wasn’t sure we would find anyone. I’m glad we didn’t run out of their right away, especially when one of the men told me I could sell my pants and feed all of them for a month. Others just looked at us clearly wondering why we were there. I’m glad my mother in law was with us because she handled the rude ones very well. She’s so Italian    .

I have to admit I was afraid for people living this way. It is clearly not a safe environment I was glad to help the mother with the five children because I thought about the mother who drove her kids into the ocean, how desperate she must have been. They were telling her they couldn’t help her because she had to many children. What does a parent say to that when they need help? It’s a devastating way to be. A very sad situation to find oneself in.
