I've been a little quiet Gnostic family because I’m in the process of returning to Arizona. I'm currently in Las Vegas with my son Terrill who owns a home here. I decided to donate clothes to the homeless shelter. I arrived and meet a fine young man he assisted me in bringing the clothes into the shelter. He is working and trying to get on his feet. Yes you can see which ones really want to change their situation, which ones are content, and which ones have accepted their situation. By accept I mean they are content to escape with the assistance of drugs and/or alcohol. They are comfortable stealing from others and/or preying on others in their same situation. They can be spotted easy enough and this has become another world similar to the world that is so different behind bars. This is a lifestyle that seems to stunt the mentality to a dissolute state despair. It reminds me of the movie “Warm Bodies” there was a point of no return for some of the humans who had become zombies so realistically we won’t save all homeless people as they have reached that point. However, we can make a difference. Keep speaking out against it. Lead by example, and this will draw others in and give them a desire to assist as well. I know because my sister neighbor in Tacoma is not going to give to the homeless shelter and she’ll pass the word, generally inadvertently and this will inspire others to do the same. Love spreads faster than hate and it’s up to us to open the eyes of others beyond our group and inspire them to do more humanitarian things in their lives.

This is an emotional ride folks. This is a crash course in being human. How did we get to off course? What happened? Nico and I are very busy deciding this will be the focus of our legal attention going forward because it keeps us busy. I’m excited about all that is going on with this group and I know dad is proud of us, all of us.

I see homeless people all day every day most of them are the kind moms described in her comments, the ones who have accepted their fate and have resorted to committing crime, ranging in lower grade offensives to the highest of grade in nature. But I’ve had my eye out for a different kind of homeless person, one with a glimmer of hope left and it paid off today. A young man came in and actually started talking to me. I can’t believe how close I came to missing him. He said he stole a broom after stealing a soda and getting off with it. He steals to come to jail where he can shower, use the bathroom, and have something to eat. When I finally made eye contact with him his eyes became glassy and he smiled at me. That smile said please help me, and he is my candidate for our program. I haven’t felt this good in a long time. Mom next year is going to be a good year. Discernment…we need this theme.

I was inspired by what Mason did not knowing quite what I wanted to do for this project. I ended up getting a lot of clothes together and taking down to the homeless shelter. I told a friend and she decided she wanted to do it to so off we went. What an experience. We meet many people and I found the perfect person for intake. He is so young and was thrown out of foster care when he turned 18. He needs a chance and I was glad to be there to give it to him.

I have to admit I needed an Idea and Mason gave it to me. I decided to donate to a homeless shelter and I meet several nice people. It was hard to make a choice who to put into the program so I was glad when Emily showed up. Together we decided on a woman we both felt would be a good candidate. I told her I wasn’t donating any clothes to her and her face crumbled. I had to hug her and tell her we were taking her with us. She was so excited her hands were trembling and I have to say the pastor that ran the shelter was very helpful and cooperative. This was so fulfilling spiritually.
