And let’s not ignore the man holding the women for trump sign not too far away from him. Clearly they are both paid plants. He’s getting desperate as he can’t find a woman to hold that sign and the black man has had some run ins with the law which shows no descent black man can be bought off. I like this project because it's going to make all of us feel better giving to those who need it most.

We are glad to hear that you are all referring people to the program we are starting. I think it will be a success.

Well we approached a group and Nick said wait. We did and a woman approached us. He asked her how he could best help her and she burst into tears. She said she had been raped several times by homeless men and it was hard for her to find shelter where she was safe. A younger male followed her and he was clearly terrified. They were both new to being homeless. The woman had a son that was taken because she is homeless and the young man is only seventeen. We took them both. Mark I like this. I really do. I think we are on to something. I feel goo!!!

I’m talking to a single mother who is hiding the fact that they are homeless. I feel like she fell into my lap today. I sighed and sat down to tell her about thus program we are starting and she burst into tears. Luke picked her and her two little girls up and off they went to a road of recovery. I feel good. I like this Mark I really do.

The Gnostic School was how our conversation started. She was a battered wife who walk away from her abusive husband. They have been sleeping in a minivan for almost a year she said. She begs for money to keep gas in her car so they can move around and go unnoticed. She gets money for the laundromat begging as well. So she’s keeping them clean and they go to school and no one knows they are homeless. But she wasn’t sure how she was going to keep it up this school year because schools want so much information she can’t provide. I’m convinced we can help her get on her feet.

We don’t live in the US anymore but we are assisting with the intake process for those selected for extensive help. We have met some pretty amazing people so far and I am very proud of what we are doing. Now Texas is having all this flooding. People are losing everything. I hope we all realize that homelessness is something anyone can face when circumstances make a sudden change. No one is homeless because they want to be. Circumstances cause them to end up in this condition, usually circumstances out of their control. It doesn’t matter what the circumstances are they clearly have the same devastating effect.

I have visited a homeless shelter with Jess and we have spoken too many of the people there. You can spot the ones who are down on their luck and they were genuinely glad to see us. They cried, they laughed, we sang, we talked. It was a life changing experience for me. I met a mother who lost her children because of a bad relationship and she turned to drugs to ease the pain. Nico looked into their where abouts and was able to locate them. The boys were in separate foster care homes and the daughter was in the process of being adopted. We are working on reuniting the family even finding dad who agreed to assist us with this endeavor. Needless to say Melissa is my recruit for this first round.
