Well I think racism is bad no matter where it comes from. I went through white racism and now I’m experiencing black racism. I hear far to much how bad it is for me to be married to a white man. I’ve even been called a traitor. I put the in their place right away. This is my life and I have a right to find happiness in my life. I have never been happier and I’m not going to apologize for being happy. I’m really tired of dealing with racism period. It’s ugly. It’s hard to live in a world full of hate no matter what it race it comes from. And it’s terrible Jay when black people clearly hate being black. I mean they have to hate being black to support a clear racist and all the racist in his corner.

Since I’ve joined the Gnostic faith I realize many things about myself and life in general. I realized I was riding that white supremist train along with my racist father and it felt good to get off the ride. I can now see how ugly it is. How stupid. And I find that I’m asking myself why I need to be better than another human being based on something as shallow as skin tone. I don’t. We are all equal in the eyes of the Most High and that’s how it should be. Take if from people like Justin and I, we have been on the other side of the fence and now that we see the grass is greener on the other side we are glad we decided to give it a try.

I’m real glad we have cameras now and ways to see things as they are happening. I personally had my eyes open as to just what is happening to Black people at the hands of law enforcement. I heard things but now I see them and it is disturbing. Seeing this behavior, including watching white people attack black people for parking, minorities, call the police on children trying to raise money so they can have access to activities. I have watched videos of white people hitting cars and refusing to give insurance information, even threatening to call the police on the victim, who is a minority, if they don’t leave them alone. I’ve watched videos of white people calling the police on black people having a cook out in a park. I mean, I’m so glad we can now see how bad this is instead of hear it and having room to choose not to believe it. It’s undeniable now. This is happening and it is disgraceful. Watching it turns my stomach. Watching law officers murder unarmed human beings simply because of their ethnicity is chilling and can do nothing but cause public outcry.

I have to say I have never felt so ashamed of my ethnic group than I do and have in these past years. I think the Sandra Bland incident, the young black girl flung to the ground by the officer in Texas, and walking in the shoes of Michael Brown’s mother who had to look at the body of her dead son laying in the street for over four hours opened my eyes in a way they have never been open before. American citizens are being brutalized by white men and women sworn to uphold the law and hold the unlawful at bay. The line was marred for me. It was no long defined. I couldn’t see who the criminals were and who officers of the law were. I couldn’t ignore it anymore. The horror of it was staggering. Any moral thinking white person can do nothing but be disturbed and appalled by what we are witnessing. I am a better person now that my eyes are open. I know many people, white people, are better people now that we see the truth.

I have to say, I always knew this was a problem but I’m glad everyone can see it now. I know people who use to say Black people complained too much and they didn’t believe them. They aren’t saying that anymore. They are either silent or they acknowledge there is a serious problem. I’m also watching this racist president appoint racist judges to the Supreme Court I tell you what if we can’t get justice from this court than it’s time to disregard anything they say and do, it’s no longer creditable. Trump has made a mockery of our entire legal platform, him and the republicans in congress.

All our lives, black people living I this country, deal with the hardships of racism. I’m really glad we have video proof now because it’s traumatizing, it’s difficult to watch every time it happens. It reminds us of things we’ve experienced personally as Black Americans. The thing is racism racial racism, it only the tip of the ice burg. I mean the Handmaiden’s Tales is a frightening reality. You have a misogynist president appointing like minded men to a lifetime appointment in a court that makes major decisions in how this country is governed. They are joined by the evangelicals, which is what gives it that religious twist. I’m saying this is kind of like a premonition clearly. Just look at what’s happening in it’s totality. It’s frightening.
