I’m with my brother. My dad says he was racist at some point. If so we never saw it. I saw racism outside of my parent’s home. My mother is a little racist but we don’t see her that often. I think that’s about to change because she asked if she could come to one of our meetings and it shocked me. She was remarried and now she’s divorced. We have two stepsisters dad and three step brothers. Mom likes having kids I tell you that. Anyway, it is horrible, racism and I’m glad my father is not this way. I love you daddy.

I’ve seen racism at it’s ugliest and I have to agree all it does is feed into ones one hateful nature. It gives them a reason for their constant anger now what causes that constant anger is something they need to deal with instead of taking it out on other people. I’ll say white people don’t deal with being poor well. It really brings out the worse in them. I lived in a trailer park so I have seen some of the worse white people on the planet. Trust me they live in trailer parks and they are mean people. Trailer parks and really poor areas. It’s like they have to blame someone for their misery when they need to blame the people who are the cause of their misery, rich people who keep raising prices on everything and making it harder for all of us to live comfortably. All they care about is making more and more money so they keep coming up with ways to make life for the average person harder simply because it makes they a few more dollars. I really wish we could do away with money Mason. It would level the playing field and we would see things a whole lot clearer.

This is something I just started to really pay attention to honestly. I mean I always knew there was this kind of hatred in the world but since it didn’t affect me directly I didn’t pay much attention to it. Now it’s right in our face and we can’t pretend it’s not a problem. In fact we can’t deny it’s not a huge life threatening problem. I listen to trump make a big deal about football players taking a knee at the national anthem when the reason why they are doing it goes ignored. He’s so full of shit that he doesn’t care about this injustice. Young people are being murdered by law enforcement officers. This is a big tragedy, bigger than the bull he’s always focused on.

Dad I know you weren’t racist because you left you parents and made it clear you were going to live your life your way. I’m proud of you and I want you know you set a very good example for you kids taking the bold stance you took, standing up to your father. He’s not easy to stand up to that’s for sure. Shawn trust me it’s not just poor white people who harbor racist views. There are plenty of well-off ones who do as well. Indifference is worse than being an open racist. To know it’s happening, know some of the things you do make it worse, and to deny it is a problem makes the problem worse. This is what the well-off racist white people do.

We talked a lot about this during the meeting and honestly, it really makes me sick that’s why I try to turn away. I hate it I really do. I hate knowing how despicable white people can be. What kind of person has nothing better to do than call the police on a person they don’t like simply because of their ethnicity? The whole thing just sickens me. How can you just rob someone of their life and sleep at night? I honestly think all of them are hunted by the life they so easily took. Life is what matters to the Most High and to take it so easily, simply because you can, shows a depravity that is staggering. It doesn’t get any lower than this as far as I’m concerned and I don’t want to pay taxes to pay a bunch of racist police officers to kill unarmed black men and claim they were afraid. We all know who the real monster is in this story.
