Uncle Brad and Uncle Chris, I love my aunts and my step father. I will never say anything initially to hurt them. I do love them and I’m glad they are a part of our family. I know they are good for and to you and I appreciate how much they have improved your lives.

I’ve had to do some thinking and honestly, most of the questions I always want to ask I’m not really looking for an answer or an explanation. I was going to bow out until I talked to Mason whom I truly love and admire. She explained some things to me and I realized by me joining was a big step in my desire to be more receptive to all people and not let outside influences affect my vows and positions. It’s time for me to start developing my own views based on my own experiences. I looking forward to doing that. TJ, I’ll see you next weekend. :cheer:

I saw it in my neighborhood when I was young. The white people were not at all welcoming of a black family that moved in. I talked to the kids that were my age but they hated it because everyone was so mean to them at the school and around the neighborhood. They stood their ground and remained and I stood mine and became good friends with the two males around my age.

I think I notice things but it’s at work that it stands out the most. It’s kind of scary because I am also in a public service profession. You know that’s so scary now that I think about it. But…there are a lot of people who aren’t that way so I have to hope it tips the scales in the favor of righteousness.

I grew up in Europe so my family never had to have the talk with me but we certainly have it with our children and it makes living in America, as a black person, very frightening.

Well our father is very racist and he’s whole family is racists. I remember his sister started dating a black man and they told her not to come around, they even started calling her the N word. Mom would always tell us to get our things when they got started because they were so racist they feed off each other and got angrier and angrier, for no reason just full of hate. Mom always told us to never be like that and all she had to say was look at how miserable they all were, for no reason. No one was doing anything to them but themselves. They made themselves angry and had the sick nerve to blame black people for their hatred.

I think it is very sad that black people cannot or don’t feel as if they can trust law enforcement but I can certainly see why. I think as soon as more white people stop living in a bubble and open their eyes they’ll see what is going on and acknowledge it’s wrong.

Pop RJ is racist that’s why he never would join us. He’s so racist. He does not like black people. But he has a lot of issues. I could never fully embrace him. Both he and Rachel have gone back to their father’s side of the family and I don’t think they even deal with the Judge and Mrs. H. Rachel has about five kids already with several different fathers. She actually lives in a trailer park. RJ is kind of bumming around blaming his mother’s death for his failures. That’s another thing, white people like RJ refuse to do anything with their lives and they blame their lack of ambition on black people. He fails because of himself but it’s easy to hate and blame innocent people.
