Val you are right and Mason is going to have the pet scan which will confirm she has no cancer. I don't think now is the time for a person on here primary doctor's team to handle a concern the way she handled it. It was the end of the day on a Friday, her PR skills were on overload. The way she dealt with Mason clearly shows that. It is not an excuse and not an acceptable way to react to a patient! Perhaps she should not wait until Friday evening to respond to a patient's concerns! We all must find ways to cope with the upset patient's we will most assuredly deal with in a single day and to tell a patient they are being ridiculous just before hanging up the phone is definitely not one of them. Perhaps this may be the reason Mason is having some anxiety. l will be providing a second opinion but I have told Mason we doctors are specialists in our fields. We are weighing all options. Stay calm Mason you need to be calm for your pet scan.
