I watched Obama’s farewell speech and the award he gave Biden yesterday and I was reminded that they are leaving and all decency is leaving with them. I agree with Obama we have to mobilize and I think the only way to handle it is to divide and do away with the republican party. Those who support them can remain a part of their world and those of us who want something better can form our own nation. Obama can be our president and we can gain our own strength because love is always stronger than hate.

I thought Meryl spoke from the heart and we all felt and agreed with her.

The kind of love the Obamas and Bidens fell for each other will never be something trump is able of feeling for anyone, and Pence as well for that matter. Their hateful selfish ways have worked for them but the good news is they won’t continue to work for them. I feel a change coming but I think it’s going to be a real change for the republican party.

Meryl, no one could have said and articulated trumps behavior better.

All I know is Obama leaving is like, scary because we know what his replacement is. A spoiled immature child in an old man body. He and his family will never be what the Obamas are. The incoming vice president and his family will never be what the Bidens are. It’s a hard pill to swallow.

Meryl was so emotional and it could do nothing but reach down inside us and touch us where it matters most. What disturbs me is all the hard heart people who aren’t affected by deep emotion and many of those hard nose people are white females.

Obama’s farewell speech didn’t shock me. He is a intelligent man full of integrity. He was an honorable president and will forever be remembered as such. We will miss him terribly in the year ahead but I also feel like a change is coming that will divide us even more in this country. Trump will never unite this country because he is behind the Russian hacks going on that showed themselves again by hacking into American CSPAN while speakers were speaking about his relationship with Russia. It is extensive and that is serious. We have to brace ourselves for what they will try to do to make sure we never vote in a good president again and trump is in there long enough to pay off all his debt to the Russians.

I actually am here visiting but I think I want to remain in Italy from now on. I don’t want to be in this country while trump, a dishonorable man, is in what was a honorable seat. Obama did America proud from the moment he took office until the moment he left and he and his family will never be forgotten. The republicans will fuck America up again and the democrats will have to fix it. There will be many casualties like always and at some point the people have to get sick of this see saw and say enough.

Meryl touched me at my core and help me make my decision to just remain in Italy until a new president is elected in the United States.

Well I’m glad I waited a few days because I can say Obama gave us dignity. Obama gave us gracious respect. Obama gave us integrity and uprightness. Obama was loved and showed loved. Trump will do just the opposite as he has proven in the day following Obama’s farewell speech. Obama was scandal free, squeaking clean, and Joy Reed said something this morning that was resounding for me. Trump spent years trying to delegitimize Obama’ s right to be president and now he wants to whine and his republican supporters want to whine about those of us who feel trump is not a legitimate president. He did not win the popular vote and the Russians influenced his ability to win the election. Now that’s not all his fault. Americans should not be so easily mislead. Well, a good man is leaving us and a bad one will take his place. Many will pay for this choice and it is my Prayer that those who supported him pay the most.

I like what how Meryl spoke her mind, how bravely she did it, and I hope more of us will bravely speak our minds like her and as the last real United States President Barack Obama advised, Speak up and Speak out people.
