What did you all think of both Meryl Streep's speech at the Golden Globe Awards, and President Obama's Farewell speech last night? Let's talk about it folks. If you missed it...here it is:

Was it me or did anyone else get the feeling this was the end of an era? I’m not just talking about Obama’s two terms. I’m talking about the integrity of the United States Presidency and the shambles and shameful way the republican Party has brought this country to where we presently are, divided, uncertain, afraid, and frankly not very proud of our leaders.

Obama and his family live and exemplified scandal free leadership which is unlike any high profile elected official in our history. We like to talk about Lincoln but he owned slaves. That made him tarnished as far as I’m concerned. I agreed with the shouts for FOUR MORE YEARS!!!

Meryl reached inside me like she often does as an actress, a brilliant actress, and made me feel her pain, her concerns. It reminded me of just want we are embarking on and how Horrific it is going to be for all of us.

Four more years is all I can say about our majestic president, the last one I feel we will ever have. The only one who led and will continue to lead a life that is defined by dignity, integrity, and honor.

Meryl just made me cry, touching everyone who heard what she had to say. I agree, for once, media bring us all of the truth, the entire truth, and nothing but the truth.

I was reminded of what we are losing and as a grown man I was brought to tears as I reflected on who now will occupy what up until he takes the seat, an honorable position. Obama is presidential and oh how I wish he could remain in office until a suitable president could be elected.

Meryl took me by surprise and it was very effective. Wow!

I saw an honorable, president, leader bid us farewell and my heart fully hit the floor. He, as always, spoke as a true leader speaks and I thought, Trump will never be as honorable as this man. He is not a fourth of the man Obama is and the thought of him leading this country completely turns my stomach.

Meryl took me by surprise and I felt every word she spoke as everyone in that audience did.

I sat in my seat and felt sicker and sicker as Obama so eloquently spoke because I knew this great leader was on his way out and his replacement is so far from the man Obama is we can do nothing but feel concern, nothing.

Meryl drove that home for me and my hope is that we the People will do like Obama advises us to do. Join the revolution to resist the republican party who is not a party of the people but of the elite.
