Well, it’s going to be a huge adjustment that’s for damn sure. We say goodbye to a wonderful president, a fantastic first family, and a gracious second family. It’s a sad time and clearly hard to let go of with all the reports on the Obama’s last week and going into this one. I watch them all because I struggle seeing my president leave office. I will truly miss him and will follow his advice and stand up for what I know is right.

Meryl and Robert are two actors like Beyonce and Alec who aren’t afraid to tell it like it is. The media likes to make change an issue, likes to make opinions that differ from their own an issue. Many of us don’t want to go with the fucking flow. We don’t like the way things are flowing. Stick to your ground Congressman Lewis because many of us support you and the problem with the republicans is they want the democrats to be civil, to act better than they act. It’s time to end that right now!

I am sad to see such an honorable man leave office. I am so concerned about who will take his place. I don’t consider trump a legitimate president because there is nothing about this insecure man that is honorable or presidential. He’s just not president material. I don’t fault him though. I fault the republican party and view them as the threat to Americans. They formed this situation with their hands and this is the state of things after how badly they treated Obama. They think they are on top of the world but oh how the might do fall. Trump will be a puppet for a moment but remember he isn’t a republican and I hope he brings them all down to their knees.

I appreciate bravery, honesty, and dignity Meryl is all of these things as is brave and shows an appreciation for the qualities of true leadership

I watch the Presidents Farewell speech with a measure of pride and with great sadness because of the uncertainty as we move forward. His words, as always were inspiring but a little hard to being about hope in light of the administration coming in. Obama was a unifier, at least he tired to be, and trump is a bully with thin skin. I’ve never seen anything like this in my life and it’s a little hard to be comfortable with what we are facing. I’m one of the four more years and I also blame all of this on the republicans.

We need loud voices like Meryl’s, John’s, and all those who have stood up to the bully that will sit in the presidential seat in four days and I am proud of all of them.

I love President Obama and I know many people join me in being sad to see him go. He is a very good leader and he will always be blessed because is respectful, compassionate, and very considerate of others. He love his family and is a good husband and father. He is also a very true friend. All of us will miss Obama and his family in the nation’s capital.

I admire anyone with the brave heart that gives them the drive to stand up and speak when it is has to be done. I think American entertainers have a very powerful voice, especially when they are so admired. It is important to lead all of us and speak in our behalf when you have voice to speak.

Okay…I so respect President Obama. I respect the man that he is. I respect his bravery. I respect his ability to stand fast and not be moved. He is honorable, and a shining example of what integrity in an individual means. None of us is perfect but Obama comes pretty damn close. He is everything a leader needs to be, and these qualities can’t be found in a wealthy individual. Why? Because they only value what is tangible. They have no regard, respect, or concern for anything or anyone that does not increase what they value.

I can say these things because I am a well off man and I do not belong in a position where I have to be considerate of many others. I am learning to value life more than I value that which is tangible and part of that healing is in the sharing of what I have been so richly blessed with. It is not always easy to share. My biggest problem in life is to have a given heart. My first mind is, I don’t want anyone dipping into my wallet spending my money. As I age I have made provisions for my children as my father did all of his children, the rest, I force myself to share. Adonai has allowed me to have what I have to see what I will do with what I have been blessed with. I don’t intend to let him down.

For this reason Trump will not make a good president. He does not know empathy. All he knows is that which is monetary. He is not the man Obama is because that which is monetary strips away ones need to be anything more than wealthy. In the hearts and minds of the wealthy they are right simply because of their financial status. They are the Privilege, and that very privilege denies one the ability to walk in anothers shoes. To show compassion. To even think, most of the time, about those who are homeless, hungry, and sick.

I am fortunate enough to have walked among those less fortunate than me and it has humbled me. How? Why? Because it first shocked me that people actually exist in such impoverished, impecunious conditions. But knowing by sight is not enough. I also know I’m going back to my privilege life of splendor. A president can’t think that way, ever. This is where Bush failed. He sent all those young people off to a war for his own gain and so many died because he had no regard for their lives. Felt no need to value them, but he knows better now. It’s not his fault. He was born into a life that strips those like us of the ability to value all lives. To see all life is important and know that everyone matters. It is the same with White America. They do not have the ability to really appreciate all life is just as valuable as theirs and those they love. They haven’t been placed in a position to see how much damage they have done to fellow humans based on something as STUPID as skin tone.

It took a black man becoming president to show us what it means to have integrity, to lead with honor, to appreciate all lives no matter what their skin tone, their sexual orientation, their sexual preferences, their religious beliefs and/or their financial status. WOW!!!

I too have decided to speak up and out and I will not support any form of oppression in any way. I admire all those who have made the same choices.
