I remember the sayings but didn’t hear them all in church. We weren’t big on church in our family. I mean we believed in God we just weren’t religious, not like people are here in the US. I don’t know why because Americans aren’t very nice for all their profession to believe in God. They don’t really act like they believe in God that’s for certain. I heard phrases like the ones mentioned in the article growing up but like Mason says they didn’t mean anything to me. My parents are here visiting and they laughed when they read the article. They agree Mason and they have decided the will be joining our group. My dad cried Mason. He couldn’t stop. He said he felt like something was gently touching his soul and it felt like pure love. It made all of us cry and my mom hugged him so tight. I have never seen my mom show my dad affection like that before. I love my Gnostic family. I love all of you because I witness the wonderful things that happen when people take the time to get to know us and understand what we are all about.

Oh man, church, all I can think about is how much I intensely dislike my mother’s side of the family’s church. I can’t see how anyone can say they are serving good and be openly racist. That’s the main thing that throws me off about the whole religion thing, and all this other stuff just compounds my dislike of religion. Aunt Mason I like how you put prayer in it’s right place. It’s used to loosely. It’s a gift we give when things are beyond our ability to help with. I like that. We can’t fix everything and when we can’t we can pray about the situation. That’s what Yahushua meant when he said when two are more are gathered in his name he is in the midst of them. Dad…I love how Auntie puts things in such clear perspective. It makes your heart jump and you feel so good when you understand. It intensifies my love for the Most High because I have no doubt the Most High loves all of us.

Well now I’ve confirmed this is why my mom learn how to manipulate the church told her all the skills that she used to get people to do what she wanted them to do. All that Jesus you going to go to hell and you’re letting the devil use you all that mess we heard all of that mess and it worked. My aunts still try to use it. But little do they know I am armed and ready them now. Oh but when I was a child I thought like a child but I’m a man now and I’ve put away those childish things. You know what I really want them to read this article and the next time I saw something to me I’m going to hand it so somebody said something about print off copies Jess was that you? I think I’m going to do the same thing so as soon as they start trying to preach their crap to me I’m just going to hand them a copy of this article. I don’t have anything else to say the article says it all.

You know I never understood how somebody could see a crime in process and walk away from it and still call themselves God-fearing Christians. I never understood it. We had neighbors growing up who wouldn’t get involved. Women were being beaten all the time by their husbands and bloody would get involved. Our mother was one of those women. Do you know how helpless you feel when you know nobody’s going to help you no one cares enough to protect you or save you for being tortured? The church did not help us finding my mother was being beaten. What happened to me was I just felt like they were useless. They wanted you to give all of your tithes and offerings but they never did anything for us not anything that mattered. It’s just hard to maintain faith what are the things you need most when you need it the most go unrecognized. I just felt like it was a useless practice and had no meaning and served no purpose. I’m a Gnostic now and I am grateful.

I think bad people period are always throwing religion in our faces. My father’s family got on my nerves because they are some hateful people. I didn’t understand religion either because some of the most hateful people profess to be God loving and fearing. And they are always judging others and looking down their noses at others. I mean who wants to serve a god that had people like this worshiping. I hate that sinners belong in church too Mason. I never agreed with that and I didn’t want to. I’m glad mom didn’t force us to go to church. Of course, that pissed dad off but mom stood her ground telling him they had different beliefs and values. He would start calling her names and she would give him a look before telling him she didn’t want a part of a god or religion that condoned his behavior. He would tell her god knew he wasn’t perfect and mom would tell him that was no excuse to be disgusting and speak with vulgarity. She didn’t want us to have any part of a group that produced people that behaved the way he and his family behaved. He hit mom because she told him his god was weak if he except him behaving the way he behaved. Sometimes family can turn you away from a practice. I’m glad we found our way and we now have things explained in ways that are logical and make sense.
