Well I was trying to upload an image I titled the Christian misconception of prayer. It is a cartoon of a man on his knees praying after he has told someone he will pray for them. It says:
"I will pray for you, Because it's so much easier than actually doing anything for you, but still makes me feel like a good person."
This is how they think. My daughter sent it to me after dealing with her mother-in-law. This is how she made my daughter feel or how my daughter feels about her when she gives her, that "I'll pray for you," crap every time my daughter needs her for something. She's right about this woman. This is the some woman we prayed for because she has a health issue none of us can help her with. She is able to help out with her grandchildren, financially, but chooses to do nothing for her incarcerated son's children. Now...if this was a Gnostic family in the same situation, having a son who left dependent children with a struggling young mother, we all know that mother wouldn't even have to ask for help from a Gnostic grandparent. So much for being a Christian.
