The harmony of life under the Shielded Cities was beautiful. It was so peaceful. And, the shields provided a stable temperature, protecting the citizens from harsh weather conditions. They could see snow falling on the shield but it was warm and comfortable under the shield. It was never to hot in the deserts, or to cold in the coldest of areas. Mother was able to use the energy from the sun in the hottest of areas to maintain the shields all over the planet. Earth seemed to help. Hurricanes did no damage to the shields. Tornadoes would dissolve when they got close to a shield. Those outside the shields did attack the shields, even hitting one in the desert with a nuclear weapon, at which point all of their weapons nuclear weapons were disabled with a compound the Ancients Louis and Juliano, created.
