I did hear from my old man kiddos and it shocked me. He did enjoy the article and yes, he agreed with it. He was impressed, so much so as to decide he respected our faith and believes it is legitimate. I thanked him and told him I appreciated his call but I have been estranged from my parents for so long I don’t know how to talk to him. He’s closer to you kids. This was a very compelling article and opened the door to a conversation many of us are very uncomfortable having period. It helps knowing that all the horror stories we’ve heard all our lives are just that, stories. It’s comforting knowing there is no truth to the horrible depiction of life after death, particularly for those who don’t follow the rules specified by religious gospel. It’s good to know in our hearts that The Most High is bigger than all of the many gods human’s worship. At the end of the day there is One truth and it’s I am glad to know it is one that is loving thus comforting. There is no reason to be satisfied with stories by which many cultural customs have formed, and notions that feed into so many and traditions that formulate around negativity laden in fear. I am glad to know many of the religious teachings about the characteristics of God are untrue, because they are hateful therefore ungodly.
