Now we have come to the meat of the American problem. Trump has given a pathway to the oppressive culture this country was founded on. Make America Great Again MAGA, means return this country all the way back to a time when enslavement, rape, and murder of Black people wasn’t frowned upon. That desire or the spirit behind that desire remains very real. Darla is right, Maga is loyal to the practices the country was founded on realizing that means rejecting the laws that prevent them from regressing the country. It’s the desire to remain on top and despite all their efforts to have limited inclusion, black people have been resilient, rising to the challenges placed on them, and often surpassing all obstacles placed in their path. I wonder how they are able to be so resilient. Where does this incredible strength come from? Why do they have it? Hmm.
When we talk about loyalty, Carter, I am loyal to the kind of nation many, including myself, have st4ived to be for years, and that is to be a part of and live in a free nation with liberty, prosperity, and justice for all. The words are literal to me. So, yes America is a divided nation, and this election will determine if we will move in a forward direction, or take a step backward. But make no mistake, we are all showing loyalty to the kind of country we want to live in.
