My brother came down and we hit the streets of New York looking in areas where homeless people are known to be. We found a group and one of the fella’s immediately started teasing us. They knew we weren’t homeless but they started teasing us and welcoming us into the fold. We laughed we purchased some food and ate, and they were familiar with Mark, Jay, and Justin. They knew we were there to give them something. We told them why we were there and asked them who we should take into our program first. They each selected someone other than themselves so we took the all. Five men all in good spirits, drug free, and ready for a change. WOW!!!

Ah you two are so sweet

. Well Mark your, along with Justin, Jay reputations proceed you. We found five homeless men in NY and enlisted them all. They joked about being recruited and some of the things they said about the other men around us that afternoon left no doubt all of them deserved a chance to improve their situation. So, we are going to sponsor all five and I’m feeling real positive about the men we selected.

I teamed up with TJ and Miles and we and we looked for average people in the areas in Irma hit in Florida who aren’t getting any news coverage because the media only cares about the wealthy who were affected. We see them smiling and at ease in the Keys because they have the money to rebuild. What about all those affected in that area who aren’t so lucky. We found some families really upset about their damages because they aren’t so lucky. We were able to pick out a couple people who considered themselves among the new homeless. One family was renting their home and the don’t thing the owner is going to be in too big a hurry to repair the house. That’s a big thing when considering these kinds of tragedies. Renters get the raw end of the
deal.

Wow…mother earth isn’t playing with its destructive inhabitants. We have earthquakes on one side of the globe and hurricanes on the other. I looked at that map Mark and this is getting really real really fast. I wanted to find the homeless in Florida because if they were struggling before Irma I know it’s worse now. In the devastation, we couldn’t tell the homeless from the new homeless. I’m glad we were able to find a couple needy families to assist and I really enjoyed this activity.
