I did see the BET Awards and did you see how is focused on African Americans. Their culture, their talents. Jesse is right they are Magical. They have done so much for this country and contribute so much because they refuse to totally conform. Even when they do the completely do something I don’t think White people would be able to do. I think if they opted to return to the continent of the ancestry, all our ancestry actually, I would opt to join them. I’d like to be somewhere where we are all really free because we are not here. There are many things that are stripped away from us in this country that clearly reveal how unfree all of us are.
I have so much to learn from you, in this group. The money part was a little unnerving to hear but certainly true. Now it is made honestly but wealth is not something that runs in my family and is still not a status we can comfortably say describes our financial portfolio. My family is financially comfortable. I am financially comfortable and I’m glad to say I worked hard for it. But…I’m not comfortable with the labels or brands Jesse spoke of in that powerful speech given at the BET Awards. I am 100% Navajo and I agree with Jesse. I’d like to see this land return to our forefathers but I’m sure that will not happen so, I’m sure many of us would opt to leave these invaded lands it came to that, I know I would.
